CONGRATULATIONS JIM!
At the World AIDS Day Gala in Norfolk on December 2nd, Mr. James Spivey was presented with the Signature Award for his many years of service to the HIV and LGBT communities. Mr. Spivey has served as the Executive Director at The AIDS Fund (aka TACT) for 13 years and continued his service to the agency as a Board member until October of this year. While Mr. Spivey is officially “retired”, he continues to serve the agency and the community every weekend as the bingo manager at Tact’s games on Saturdays and Sundays. Mr. Spivey’s dedication to helping/advocating for people living with HIV/AIDS is as strong today as it was in the beginning of the AIDS epidemic. Thank you, Jim, for all that you do!
