When we come together as a community, our clients benefit. The entire Hampton Roads community plays a vital role in the mission of EVAN. It is because of generous support from individuals, businesses and groups that EVAN is the leading AIDS Service Organization in the entire Eastern Region of Virginia. Volunteers and donors afford us the opportunity to continue, expand and add new programs as we provide quality services to more than 1,200 individuals and families in Hampton Roads.
Volunteering
Volunteers provided more than 10,000 hours of service to EVAN in the past twelve months, enabling us to minimize costs and maximize services.Individual or group volunteers have the opportunity to share the most valuable resources they have; time and experience. Working as a volunteer is an excellent way to support the community in which we live.
Donating
Over sixty percent of our funding comes from direct community support of individuals, community groups and businesses. There are various different ways to donate; in-kind and monetarily.
EVAN has made it convenient to donate online by offering three options; through this site directly, PayPal and FirstGiving. Contributions can also be made by mail or by phone.
In-kind donations play a significant role throughout the year from helping our fundraising efforts to helping meet the needs of our clients.
