On Saturday, February 11, 2012, The AIDS Fund, Inc hosted the Gala of Hope from 7pm – 11pm at the Ohef Sholom Temple in Norfolk’s historic Ghent to benefit those in Eastern Virginia who are infected/affected with HIV/AIDS.  The Gala was a dinner/dance with auction with Mrs Virginia 2011, Katie Barrie served as the hostess.  Silent auction items were available.  Guests were treated to entrees, desserts and beverages and danced the night away with local favorites the Bar Tones.The AIDS Fund also unveiled the name EVAN and logo at this exciting event.  Over $10,000 was raised to benefit EVAN and over 100 people attended the Gala.  Board of Trustees member Charles Ford received the Jim Spivey Community Service Award.
